Fire-rated Products

We have many products that can be purchased using firerated polyurethane. Purchasing firerated polyurethane will add 15-25% to the price, depending on the product and whether or not it is firerated polyurethane, or the utilization of Flame Stop® III (see more information below).

Flame Stop® III protects the material in both exterior and interior applications. It's a water-based, post-treatment, interior/exterior fire retardant that bonds with the cellular structure. This product bonds with the substrate and creates a self-extinguishing reaction when the treated material comes into contact with an open flame.

It is non-toxic, non-combustible, non-carcinogenic, and contains no PBDEs (polybrominated diphenyl ethers), which are toxic to humans and the environment.It's non-toxic, non-combustible, non-carcinogenic, easy to apply, and contains no PBDEs (polybrominated diphenyl ethers), which are toxic to humans and the environment.

Please check any, and all, local and Federal building and/or fire codes for your area to determine clearances required around fireplaces, stove inserts, and other “live flame” or heat sources. Description of Custom Resawn Planks

Custom Resawn planks have the same subtle, sweeping lines as the real planks they are crafted from, which are resawn with a cutting technique that lends a rustic charm on ceiling or wall designs. Perfect for use in dens, dining rooms, kitchens and more, they enhance the beauty of any space, both indoors and out. Available in many different color stains, these planks can be custom-cut to fit the dimensions of your design needs. They also match our Custom Resawn ceiling beams.

Important! Any products intended to be used in an exterior application needs to be top coated with a high quality clear coat exterior polyurethane with a UV inhibitor to protect the finish from fading.

Please note that planks are textured and finished (or primed if ordering unfinished) on the face only. Even when adding textured/finished edges and/or ends, the backside of the plank will not be textured or primed/finished.
