Heavy Hand Hewn window and door headers feature the most aggressively distressed wood texture available on the market. Affix them to the tops of your windows or doors to give them a rugged, eye-catching accent. Assembled from pieces of western red cedar, the headers’ cedar is skillfully finished and hand treated by expert craftsmen to create the look of aged, roughly cut wood. Available in a large assortment of custom sizes to make planning and installation easy.

Choose from a variety of color options, from light to dark. For even more texture, select the additional texturing option on the ends or edges.

Note: Due to its authenticity, lengths of 14.5 feet and over requires a scarf joint. Any L-header with a width or height larger than 10.5" will have a seam. This seam could be evident when looking at the L-header.

Note: Our products may have screws embedded below the surface. We recommend using a hand saw (not power tools) when cutting these products. You may find these screws with a stud finder. Barron Designs is not responsible for any bodily harm or damage to your equipment. 

Important! Any products intended to be used in an exterior application needs to be top coated with a high quality clear coat exterior polyurethane with a UV inhibitor to protect the finish from fading.
